Seattle Washington
For those who haven't been, Seattle is a wonderful city with plenty of things to see and experience - if you can focus on them amid the beautiful mountains that surround you and deep green forest. It is a beautiful place. Never been there? Well, allow me to make some recommendations.
1. The Space Needle
If you have a limited amount of time and want to see something memorable, this should be on your list. You get a beautiful view of the cityscape and more around you, and if you want, you can visit the famous rotating restaurant that gives you more of that great view while eating a romantically set dinner.
2. Old Seattle
You may not know this, but part of Seattle is actually underground. You can see a fascinating side of Seattle that most can't see - underground. Tours are provided and offer an opportunity for learning the fascinating history behind the city. Actually, a lot of Washingtonians don't know about it.
3. Pikes Place
Perhaps best known for the great amount of fish tossing that takes place, the market provides an opportunity for a personal look at what Seattle has to offer from its local vendors. Need a necklace? You'll find plenty. Need a hug? You can find that too, and it probably won't cost you anything. There's plenty more to see at the market, you'll just have to take a look yourself to fill in the blank for what else is available. I won't spoil the surprise. Make sure to carve out some time for it though. It will take some effort to walk through the entire area.
4. Starbucks
You may be thinking, "there's a Starbucks on every corner, why would I want to go there?" Well, this one happens to be special - since it's the original first of the popular chain. So, though you've been to A Starbucks before, make sure to checkout THE Starbucks to be able to say that you've been there. Drink the bean!
There are several other things to do in Seattle on your Washington visit, but this short list could keep you busy for a while. If time permits you to look around some more, make sure to check out the Pacific Science Center and Imax theater. Science and the theater haven't been so fun!
